Description
Swindon Borough Council is currently looking for an experienced Head of early intervention. Youth and community.


About Role:

  • To strategically lead and manage 2 SM and 2 TMs for Early help services, Integrated adolescent services and Youth Justice team.
  • To ensure the delivery of high quality services across all teams at all times
  • Ensure established relationships with key partners are in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • To work with the Director of social care to ensure transformation of the service areas are undertaken as part of the 2 year Childrens plan
  • Ensure financial integrity at all times and support direct reports to be creative and innovative in their approach to children and young people within the legislative framework and financial envelope available to this service area
  • To ensure as a HOS all staff are trained, competent and child focused to prevent escalation into care where possible
  • The role oversees the OPAL team where CCE and CSE is held,
  • Understanding of YOS and wider contextual risk is essential.
  • Ability to work with staff and Partners is a must driving change
Qualification

  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in health, education, youth, social work, early years or similar, or relevant compensatory experience.
  • A management qualification.
