Are you passionate about guiding students toward fulfilling careers? We Educate, a leading teaching agency, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Secondary School Careers Advisor to join our team in Enfield.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' futures and help them navigate their career pathways.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide impartial and confidential careers guidance to secondary school students, helping them explore career options, set goals, and make informed decisions.
  • Deliver individual and group careers guidance sessions, including career assessments, CV writing workshops, and interview preparation.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external stakeholders to support students' career development and progression.
  • Keep abreast of labour market trends, apprenticeship opportunities, and higher education pathways to provide uptodate advice to students.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, colleges, universities, and training providers to facilitate work experience placements, apprenticeships, and further education opportunities for students.
  • Organize careers events, fairs, and workshops to raise awareness of career pathways and promote engagement with students.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Relevant qualification in careers guidance, counseling, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience providing careers guidance and support to secondary school students, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage caseloads effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of career development theories, labor market information, and postsecondary education options.
  • Familiarity with careers software and online resources for careers exploration and planning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Location:

This position is based at our office in Enfield, working closely with secondary schools in the area.


Salary:

Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.


Contract Type:

This is a permanent position, offering stability and opportunities for professional development within the organization.

£24,000.00-£25,009.60 per year
