The role

  • We are looking for Digital Product Owners to join us as we build our business. These roles will work within our Pensions and Savings area and will help us enhance the support we give to our customers as _they look to access their retirement funds. If you are customer focused, commercially aware and keen to build the best experiences for our clients and staff, this could be the role for you _

What are we looking for?

Defining the Vision

  • You own the creation of the vision, roadmap and backlog for your team, adapting the plan as business needs and priorities change.
  • You own defining and realising the business benefits that you want to achieve, ensuring stakeholders are confident and informed.

Understanding the User

  • You ensure that user needs are at the heart of everything we do, building awareness and understanding within your team and the partners you work with
  • You work with CX / UX to deliver joinedup experiences.
  • You use voice of the customer data, analytics and insight to understand and optimise the CX and understand the operational, commercial and customer impact of any changes

Delivering progress

  • You lead your team, driving progress and maintaining motivation ensuring everyone has a clear view of what they are doing and why
  • You drive progress, removing blockers and escalating issues to senior stakeholders
  • You demonstrate confident decision making, using your judgement to strike the right balance between customer outcomes and speed of delivery
  • You manage and maintain and awareness of the risks and issues impacting your team, helping to define mitigating actions and controls

Collaborating across boundaries

  • You effectively manage cross functional and (potentially) offshore delivery teams using a combination of F2F and digital communication techniques
  • You drive to achieve a 'one team' culture with partners ensuring strong communication, motivation and awareness of business goals & strategy

Stimulating innovation & representing your product

  • You encourage a culture of constant innovation, using your knowledge of customer behaviour, business objectives and market / technology trends to drive the focus
  • You lead / champion the progression of ideas through to adoption
  • You represent your product with senior stakeholders, the wider business and external parties

Desired experience

  • Experience of owning and managing a backlog within a fastpaced agile development environment
  • Experience of financial services, including financial advice.
  • Experience of using Miro, FigJam, JIRA and Confluence
