We are seeking a Head of Systems and MI for our Government client.

This role can be based in London, Milton Keynes or Glasgow, and will be hybrid working (must be able to travel to the office as and when required).

The Head of Systems and MI role will be an initial 6 month contract paying between £850 - £950/Day Inside IR35.

This role is inside IR3- Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

The role will oversee enhancements and improvements to the configuration of the eSourcing tool, ERP system (Oracle) with ownership of P2P processes and design and development of reporting solutions utilising power BI.

The role will also manage supplier relationshipsfor key commercial systems.

The role will manage a small team of specialist systems and MI resources but also work across the organisation with a range of SMEs but with particular close working relationships with colleagues in Finance and Information & Digital Directorate.

In this role you will also be responsible for:

Lead the design, and implementation of the Commercial Systems strategy and roadmap
Lead commercial through the implementation/optimisation of their Oracle ERP implementation ensuring P2P and business process
Identify integration opportunities with other systems to ensure accurate commercial data and management information is maximised
Overview of MI strategy and tools ensuring they dovetail with commercial IT systems.
Manage input from stakeholders and SMEs to ensure optimum design and configuration of commercial systems.
Champion the benefits of commercial MI, building capability across the organisation to utilise commercial information to make effective decisions.
Where system functionality issues are identified, take the lead with IT Support team to ensure system solutions are delivered in a timely manner.
Drive user compliance of IT systems to improve data completeness, accuracy and audit trail against business process
Provide effective governance and contract management of Commercial systems reporting regularly to senior stakeholders and users

Essential Skills:

Highly effective communicator with advanced data presentation skills which speak to a Commercial audience
Demonstrable experience in conducting and presenting complex data analysis in a simplified way for end users to aid decision making and use of business intelligence systems
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to ensure user requirements are defined and reflected efficiently and effectively.
Proven experience leading implementation of major IT projects i.e. ERP, P2P/eSourcing;
Business analysis and data migration skills;
Proven track record in IT project management and delivery, leading teams, effective stakeholder engagement and of working to deadlines and meeting targets.
Will be required to lead, manage, motivate and coordinate crossfunctional teams, often with no direct authority over a significant number of the key stakeholders and team members.
Knowledge of commercial and financial business process
Promotes a culture that acknowledges the value of positive change and diversity; creates strategies to involve those who will be affected by planning and preparation and to support them through change

Desirable Skills:

Experience implementing process automation, robotics and other business optimisation technologies in a commercial environment
Direct experience with config/implementation of eSourcing tools (Bravo/Proactis or similar)
Uses insights into individuals, groups, and organisational dynamics to gain agreement; involves and influences everyone necessary to get the job done.
Proficient use and experience of Microsoft packages or other reporting environments highly desirable.
