As an employee relations specialist, you will use your wealth of experience to develop and maintain relations with local managers and the wider HR team.


You will be the lead on regional employment related support, being a policy advisor and case manager for local issues.

You will support managers and the leadership team with day-to-day disciplinaries, performance improvement and absences.

As well as providing coaching to ensure managers are upskilled to deal with people matters in a fair, legal and effective manner.

You will have a thorough understanding of UK employment law, with practical employment relations experience.

What you'll do

  • Provide advisory guidance and coaching on Employment Law policy to the regional leadership team, to enable managers to deliver good people management practices, and ensuring consistent and fair decisions and legally compliant processes
  • Support managers and promote best practice in a clear and concise way, to ensure managers implement & adhere to HR policies and practices
  • Analyse trends and ensure compliance with legally compliant policies and processes, and interpreting, developing and implementing local measures
  • Conduct hearings and appeals as appropriate
What you'll need

  • Human Resources degree/ CIPD level 5 or higher
  • Previous HR experience
  • Significant labour law knowledge
  • Understanding of best practises and ACAS codes
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to connect with and influence people at all levels
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, able to manage and prioritise a changing workload
  • Adaptable and proactive with a confident, solutionsfocused attitude
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to regularly travel within and outside of your geographical region
