_Overview_


The ongoing GSK IDMP Programme has identified the need to build an enterprise data asset where Product and Substance data is mastered as close to source as possible, leveraging the IDMP standards.

This effort requires skilled tech resources to assist and own various tasks & processes to successfully deliver the programme and maintain the information architecture going forward.


_ Job purpose:
_

The Product Owner within the Supply Chain Digital and Tech team is a key role in our IDMP journey. This journey is related to IDMP implementation across legacy GSK pharmaceuticals and vaccines business.

GSK is going through an enterprise transformation across data, process, people, and systems to align itself with the IDMP Programme goals and objectives.

The IDMP Systems teams in Tech are currently working on

selection of a new MDM solution for management of IDMP data. The Product Owner will be a key role in defining the vision, shaping, and implementing the roadmap for the suite of Master Data Management (MDM) product(s) within the IDMP Systems Team and the associated Source Domain (as applicable) develop a Substance Information Management System to capture, store, manage and exchange GSK substance data internally and with external regulators develop an information consumption domain for Product and Substance data in alignment with the enterprise


This role is accountable for contributing & managing delivery across the data product teams in the technical solution design, implementation & continuous improvement of solutions for large-scale complex products, embedding agile and DevOps principles.

As a Product Owner, you will lead delivery and ongoing management of IDMP data product(s) to derive greater insights, reduce risks and optimize costs & timelines for existing and emerging technologies.


_ Key responsibilities_

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of a robust Data Management platform that consolidates the key building blocks/data entities required to facilitate the creation of an endtoend Product & Substance data backbone, supporting key business process(es) and aligned to the ISO IDMP data standards
  • Ensure the system is deployed and maintained in a manner that aligns with architecture principles and Data Integrity (GxP) requirements as appropriate
  • Contribute to and coordinate IDMP tech program activities for various data domains like product, substance, organization and referential, ensuring alignment in architecture and appropriate integrations.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture teams (data integration, data architecture, business intelligence) to develop and deliver IDMP data and analytical solutions and work with Architecture Review Board and Data Governance Approval Board for technical reviews and approvals through the system development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with R&D & other Product Teams to ensure appropriate alignment and integration of the new IDMP with the established tools, data models and architecture.
  • Participate and lead efforts including market research summaries, proofs of concept, prototypes, vendor assessments, and consultative summaries.
  • Ensure all risk and issues associated with owned programmes and projects are recorded and managed in the appropriate Risk & Issue logs in a timely manner and according to programme standards & escalate and remove blocks to progress in a large matrix organisation and with senior stakeholders.
  • Manage agency workers and ensure the right level of capability is engaged to ensure the success of the project. Able to manage and motivate direct/indirect reports who may be globally located.

_ Basic qualifications_

  • Ability to communicate with senior leadership effectively.
  • Good content knowledge of Data Management preferable related to Product and Substance data
  • Ability to manage Agile and DevOps projects related to master data.
  • Computer Science or related bachelor's Technical Degree (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology)
  • Experience with data management tooling/technology

_ Preferred qualifications_

  • Experience in embedding data quality management into master data implementations.
  • Previous experience implementing Product Master (PDM/PIM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tooling.
  • Relevant Life Sciences experience e.g., Application Development / Data Management experience and / or exposure to product management in a major global IT organisation.
  • Working understanding of ISO IDMP Standards.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification in Product Owner/Product Manager or similar.
