Purpose


Shaw Trust's Retention Services sit within our Community Health & Wellbeing division and is a growing part of the business and our wider employment support offer to our beneficiaries.


We work in partnership with mental health clinical teams, GP practices and other referral partners who refer clients who are currently in employment but are experiencing difficulties in the workplace and require assistance to help them return to work, remain in work or find new employment.


We need a Senior Employment Retention Adviser to provide highly effective support to individuals guide them on their journey to returning, remaining or finding new employment while also supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing.


The Senior Employment Retention Adviser (SERA) role will manage a team of Employment Retention Advisers (ERA) providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling best practice approaches to job retention.

The SERA will play a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets the exacting standards of our commissioners and delivers positive outcomes for service users.


Providing vision and direction, you will lead the development of our network of relationships, building capacity and ensuring the success of our job retention services across all providers.

Making sure our clients receive the best service to meet their needs, you will be comfortable in managing contracts against our agreed service objectives and performance outcomes.

Uppermost in your mind, will be building strong collaborative working relationships in your community with our partners.


Working with the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing delivery network performance, building service capability, capacity and quality.

You will also provide skilful relationship management ensuring positive and productive relationships are maintained.

An ability to champion and embrace change is essential.

An understanding of how the development of community-based services and the integration of health and social care impacts the lives of people with mental health challenges would be advantageous.


Essential:


You will have:

  • 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience of managing a team and performance management procedures
  • Relevant experience providing case management support to a caseload of clients with health and/or employment related barriers
  • Good at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Location:

We are currently recruiting a number of roles across London covering Haringey & Enfield. This role will require you to work out in the community with some opportunity to work from home.


Interviews:

We anticipate interviews to take place the last week of August with starts dates in September 2023
