An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to become one of two Senior Prosecution Officers working within the Traffic Process Unit (TPU), currently located at Sutton Road, Maidstone, moving to Ashford in spring 2023.


Additionally you will be required to manage enquiry and investigatory work in support of case reviews, advising Enquiry Officers on all aspects of case handling, lines of enquiry, interviewing requirements, points of law, and points to prove, to ensure the capture of the best possible information so as to maximise the quality of intelligence and evidence.


You will also be required to supervise and guide the work of a team of Case Preparation Officers as well as a small team of Enquiry Officers; completing HR tasks and ensuring that they are effectively trained and kept fully up to date with legal changes and policy.

You will provide advice, guidance and support to the camera and administrative staff within the TPU on matters relating to evidence and compliance with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act and assist with the review of working practices and procedures, identifying best practice in order to maintain high standards of case investigation and management.
