Team Educate are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a collaborative, welcoming team in one of our partner schools in Solihull.
The school is committed to the needs of its individual learners and, as a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with special needs.
The primary need of its pupils is Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs, as well as Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.This is an opportunity to join a committed team in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children, contributing to their emotional and academic development and wellbeing.
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with special needs, focusing on children with SEMH
- Assist in implementing educational and behavioural strategies and EHCPs
- Help create a safe and inclusive environment for primary pupils to learn and grow
- Support individuals in daily activities, including within lessons, with communication, and social skills development
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to enhance learning and attainment
- Maintain open communication with members of staff and follow the duty of care
A SEN Learning Support Assistant will need:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, including ASC, SEMH and EBD
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals of all ages
- Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals with additional needs
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs

£86.00-£95.00 per day
