Closing Date:Saturday 08 April 2023Join our newly opening Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub for exciting opportunities to participate in the delivery of early interventions and preventative strategies to assist those households who are homelessness or threatened with homelessness.
  • We have an exciting opportunity in the Housing Advice Team for Senior Support Workers to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.
  • The role will involve delivering a professional Housing Options and Homeless service providing advice, support, and guidance to ensure that all clients receive timely interventions and assessments to support them into permanent and settled affordable accommodation.
Ensuring the council fulfils its statutory homelessness duties.

Ending homelessness doesn't mean that no-one will ever lose their home again, but we want to make sure that everyone facing homelessness gets the right service, at the right time, to achieve the right outcome.

It means making sure we all have a safe place to live, and together doing everything we can to stop people from losing their homes in the first place.

These ambitions are reflected in our Homelessness & Rough Sleeping Strategy To be successful in this role you will need to be a motivated person with excellent communication skills who can manage their time effectively and prioritise their workload.

You should be approachable and non-judgmental with the patience and determination to encourage our customers to achieve their goals employing a person-centred and strength-based approach.

Flexible working hours both weekdays and weekends are required.
