Description

My job makes lives better by supporting specialist assessment, formulation, and interventions to children and their families within the Mindworks Surrey New Leaf and STARS specialist services.

New Leaf Service supports children and young people who are looked after, adopted/under Special Guardianship Order and care leavers. STARS services offers assessment and therapy to children who have been victims of sexual assault.

THRIVE Model:

The new children's Surrey Health and Emotional Well-being Alliance incorporating the Surrey Well-being Partnership, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust, Barnado's, National Autistic Society, Learning Space and the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust are in an exciting and transformational phase of mobilising a holistic mental health and emotional wellbeing service for the children and families of Surrey embedded within the THRIVE model led by our Tavistock and Portman partners.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the team leader and the supervising psychologist.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the team leader and supervising psychologist.

The service has been working on extending its group offer to children, young people and their families.

There will be an opportunity for the successful applicant to become involved in running of the groups, with support of an experienced clinician.
