Bookkeeper

Opportunity to join a fast-growing, client focussed and reputable practice
Our practice has enjoyed strong growth and we are looking for another accountant to join our team. We are a highly professional yet down-to-earth practice with a wide and enjoyable variety of clients.

Our office is based in Tannochside and we all work from the office at least two days per week.

Apart from that we have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world due to our cloud system setup.

We predominately use cloud systems:
QuickBooks, Xero & Sage for bookkeeping, TaxCalc for accounts production and Accountancy Manager for practice management.

We started as a small practice but now consist of an exceptionally friendly and welcoming team of 8.

We have a variety of roles in the team and everyone is supported and encouraged to develop their skills and career.

Flexibility is important to us so we don't operate defined working patterns.

We have a variety of full-time and part time roles and we are open to changing patters to fitting around life.

Bookkeeping
VAT returns
Payroll
CIS returns
Process improvement projects

Skills & Experience

Experience across a variety of bookkeeping packages, namely QuickBooks, Xero & Sage 50
Good to strong Excel skills
Understanding of HMRC online systems, forms and processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative to manage a variety of work
Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
Ability to find solutions if & when problems arise

Additional skills & experience to stand out

Qualification from a professional body, such as AAT or partqualified accountant
Accounts preparation
Experience migrating between systems
UK driving licence & willingness to travel to see clients across West / central Scotland from timetotime.
Process improvement / automation experience
