Understanding Solutions is the exciting consulting division of the Understanding Recruitment Group. A hybrid between a specialist technology recruitment agency and a traditional consultancy, we partner with organisations across the UK to help solve their technology challenges by focusing on delivering clear outcomes and deliverables through Statements of Work (SoW).


We focus on designing, building and delivering project-driven, outcome-based services for our clients in and around Data, and Software Development arenas.

Above and beyond being more cost-effective, we add real value, delivering tangible project outcomes without the risk and hassle.

We are looking for a Service Manager to fully drive this across all of our clients and deployed associates currently working onsite.


What is my role?:


Working as the Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role within Understanding Solutions, helping to shape the future of the division alongside the Head of Solutions, the sales team and the talent delivery team as we look to go through significant growth in 2023.


Your role will be responsible for all engagement with our clients and deployed associates ensuring all projects are tracking effectively towards the deliverables, unblocking any issues with project delivery and identifying further sales opportunities within our current clients.


Responsibilities of Project Coordinator:


  • Totally owning the service management and project delivery across all of clients
  • Onboarding Associates overseeing the process and technology from the outset
  • Reporting on project performance on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Own and Champion the WorkSavvy service management platform (extensive training provided) with clients and associates including the building a training programme for new clients / associates.
  • Conducting monthly service reviews with all clients and deployed associates focusing on project performance, delivery risks and further sales opportunities
  • Insuring consistency of Understanding Solutions branding with Associates (e.g. presentations, delivery packs, onboarding, contracts and sales material)
  • Ad hoc communication and engagement with clients and Associates when situation arise within project delivery
  • Attend important meetings with the end client to ensure the deployed associates are delivering results are expecting within the client.
  • Dealing promptly with 'change requests'
  • Management of key client and associate documentation
  • Regular 'checkin's especially due to the fast nature of some projects (sprints)and ensuring we can get up to speed as quickly as possible
  • Provide continuity of service across the client and Associate community
  • Driving service standards at every stage of the project
  • Working closely with the Head of Solutions and wider Understanding Solutions Sales team
  • Ad hoc Understanding Solutions projects
  • Drive the future of service management within Understanding Solutions, driving new and more effective ways of delivering projects / service into our clients
  • Custom building the service level that will be delivered for each client once a project has been won.
  • Attending pitches and sales meeting representing the service engagement element of the project delivery.
  • Drive a more agile and scrum process within our delivery

Background & Experience:


  • Service/Project Management experience (within consulting or recruitment would be a bonus but not essential)
  • Highly process oriented
  • Strong project coordination skills
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Confident in communicating and enforcing change (when needed)
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding and customer care
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
  • Keen interest or experience working within technology driven projects
  • Ambitious and innovative

Salary - £30,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)


Location - St. Albans, Hertfordshire (remote working 2 days a week)
