Senior Software Engineer (Contract)

£750 Inside IR35

Initial 6-Month Contract

Fully Remote

The Company


This client is a leader in the pharmaceutical sector and is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to help pioneer a platform project hosted on Google Cloud to be rolled out for UK and US operations.


The Role

  • Writing clean, modular, and scalable code in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Using tools like Create React App, MaterialUI, ESLint, Webpack, and Jest to streamline the development process and ensure code quality.
  • Collaborating with designers and other stakeholders to ensure that user experience is a top priority in the development process.
  • Debugging browserbased issues and using user performance testing software to optimise page load times and user experience.
  • Setting up and managing automated deployments using DevOps processes, Infrastructure as Code, and declarative deployments/GitFlow.
  • Managing cloud environments, including Kubernetes deployment, testing, and management.
  • Participating in agile software delivery processes including analysis, enterprise development, and quality assurance, with a focus on testdriven development (TDD) and behaviourdriven development (BDD).
  • Using issuetracking management tools to prioritise tasks and track progress.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that everyone is on the same page and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Your Skills and Experience
The successful Senior Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience with React, Redux, React Router and
  • Full proficient in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Exposure to Create React App, ESLint, Webpack, and Jest is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud (preferred)/Azure.
  • Understanding of DevOps tools including Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Use with GitFlow, GitHub and Jira.
  • Understanding of TDD/BDD.

The Benefits
The successful Full Stack Developer will receive up to £750 per day inside IR35.
