Supply Chain, Planning and Buying Manager - Manufacturing and Engineering

Location:
Hailsham - Eastbound - Brighton


Summary:

My client is an organisation in the manufacturing sector focusing on innovation and transformation of engineering solutions, especially in CNC machining, design, welding.

They are looking for a Planning and Buying Manager to leadthe Supply Chain planning team within the manufacturing environment. Be part of the team with constant learning, and growth opportunity


The role:
The role would require a strong planning background in the manufacturing space with experience of managing a team. Ideally someone in the similar sector (Engineering and Manufacturing).


Responsibilities:


  • Be responsible of the end to end planning process in the Supply Chain department
  • Responsible in managing the planning and buying team
  • Maintain and own the master schedule with customer requirements
  • Developing a supply chain capable of delivering to the master schedule with outstanding quality and on time delivery and lead time performance including managing supplier scorecards
  • Responsible for the supplier negotiation and ensure security of supply
  • Develop strategic procurement initiatives to drive year on year price improvement in the supply chain

What you need to succeed:


  • At least 5 Years experience in the end to end Procurement Planning, production role
  • Having the buying experience is a plus
  • Experience using MRP system in the manufacturing industry
  • Have at least 3 years of experience managing a team
  • Strong communication skills with good attention to detail
  • Supply chain background in the Industrial Manufacturing and Engineering site will be preferred
