Description

Citi ICG Technology organization is looking for a senior Java technologist to join our Equities Cross Asset Sales & Trading Technology team in London.

You will be part of a global team with colleagues also located in Mississauga and New York.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining the capabilities of our Order Management System (OMS), providing technical leadership and participating in the design, development and 2nd line support of processes written in Java, Unix and SQL.

Key responsibilities of the person in this role will include:


Responsibilities:


  • Delivery of our Cash OMS product in EMEA
  • Close engagement with Equities Sales and Trading desks to understand key functional and nonfunctional requirements, prioritisation and day to day questions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to extend functionality and enhance performance of existing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards and methodologies
  • Be instrumental in the design and implementation of automated integration testing.
  • Provide second line support, including out of hours, for the processes and components you develop.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Primary development expertise in core Java development, including knowledge of collections, IO, multithreading and generics.
  • Linux and Unix Shell scripting
  • Experience in successfully delivering projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Strong proponent of test automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Adaptable, resourceful, well organized team player with a strong work ethic.

Education:


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant field and solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (including datastructures, algorithms and design patterns)
