Teaching Assistant
Hours/Weeks: 31.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year (Term time plus 5 INSET days)

Actual Salary Range:
£18,669 - £18,976 per annum inc. (Scale 3)

Contract Type:
Permanent

Contract start:
September 2023 or as soon as possible

Thank you for your interest in the role of Teaching Assistant at West Lea School.

Teaching assistants at West Lea School provide care, support and assistance to the students -all of whom have complex needs.

These may include medical needs, physical disability, speech and language and communication difficulties, emotional and learning difficulties. We aim to enable them to participate and develop their abilities in our caring and stimulating environment.

The post holder will support staff of the whole school and work to raise attainment of pupils whilst also promoting their independence.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, who will continue to inspire and motivate our staff and support and encourage our pupils to make excellent progress, whatever their starting point or situation.

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate vision, resilience and empathy. We are a 'values based' organisation and, as such, we expect our staff to embody our values.
