Description
We are pleased to be working with a university based in Uxbridge, North West London. They are recruiting for a temporary Student Programmes Administrator paying £15.52 per hour. This role will be starting as soon as possible.


The main purpose of the role is:Main accountabilities**:

Day to day provision of administrative and data management processes to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of student services, with the aim of providing an excellent experience to the Department's students.

Engage with a broad range of student-facing administrative requirements for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) programmes, from registration / induction to graduation.


Key duties and responsibilities:

Student Engagement, Student Support and Welfare

  • Deliver a studentfocused service that is consistently professional, welcoming, reliable, accessible and effective
  • Support the administration of student attendance and engagement routines; maintaining Tier 4 compliance records for relevant students
  • Provide support and / or guidance on a range of studentfacing administration functions in accordance with existing procedures
  • Triage and signpost student issues and concerns quickly and effectively, referring them to the relevant individual or team for resolution
Student and Programme Administration

  • Maintain a sound knowledge of the range of Department's UG and PGT programmes, ensuring an understanding of how the Senate Regulations impact on their delivery
  • Support the investigation of often complex enquiries relating to student appeals and complaints, escalating nonstandard queries where necessary
  • Ensure transcripts and award letters are produced and sent out in a timely manner
  • Be prepared to support the Assessment and Curriculum Office (ACO)
Resource Planning and Management

  • Meet regularly with the Student Programmes Manager to communicate resource and workflow requirements to ensure the administration provision is maintained to an acceptable standard throughout the cycle, and to manage your own workload
Communication and Networking activities

  • Develop positive working relationships with colleagues across the Department and other relevant departments / teams
  • Participate in meetings and attend training events as necessary, supporting the College with any introduction to new technologies, enhancements to process or changes to day to day management of administration
Data and Record Management

  • Utilise the student records system (SITS) effectively, ensuring that student programme data entry and maintenance is accurate and timely
Develop an understanding of the student SITS record to support administrative processes across both the student and programme lifecycle
