Nursery Deputy Manager

Location:
Chesham, Buckinghamshire (HP5)

Salary:
£28,000 - £31,200 per annum (Welcome Bonus)

Job Type:
Full Time Position, 40 hours per week

The Role:

Our client are looking for a
Nursery Deputy Manager with a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare and with experience in working in a day nursery with children aged from 3 months to 5 years old.

Job Duties:

Adhere to all companies' policies and procedures and ensure that these are adhered by all staff
Promote good practise to meet the requirements of the EYFS
Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place
Provide leadership support to all staff and enable them to establish a professional positive working relationship with colleagues, parents and carers
Deploy staff shift/lunch rotas effectively
Implement effective keyperson system
Ensure all children are kept safe and that staff are following safeguarding rules
Support the nursery manager to evaluate and promote reflective practise
Conduct parents' tours of the nursery
Support the nursery manager in making sure complaints/concerns are resolved in a timely manner
Support nursery manager with all administrative duties, including maintaining children's records, ordering resources and keeping personnel files
Support nursery manager with recruiting, hiring, inducting and training and appraising all staff to deliver a highquality service
Level 3 qualification in Childcare
1 Year previous experience in working for a nursery
