Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in
Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a
Review Officer - Housing Options, on a
12-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.


Responsibilities:


  • To keep abreast of changes to homelessness and related legislation, the
Code of Guidance, statutory instruments, case law and other best practice to ensure that the service operates efficiently and effectively

  • To make sure the progress and outcome of all reviews are recorded and
monitored for trend changes. To oversee the arbitration process,
preparing documentation as required.

  • To carry out all casework for County Court challenges to review decisions, drafting witness statements, liaising with the Councils Legal
Department and attending court

  • Liaise with applicants and their representatives conducting oral hearing
when required.

  • To be responsible for the production of performance monitoring data
including collation of statistical information in relation to reviews,
highlighting any gaps or weaknesses in service provision and processes,
as well as any training needs to the relevant Team Manager


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Extensive experience of conducting complex casework and report writing to a high level.
  • Excellent standards of literacy and numeracy
  • Experience of using a range of research tools
  • Experience of using workflow and data imaging systems

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 11 months


Salary:
£19.00-£25.39 per hour

  • Report writing: 3 years (required)

  • Homelessness casework: 2 years (required)
Local Authority: 1 year (preferred)
