Reporting into the UK Finance Manager your main responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for UK Stores Portfolio encompassing the following for this area:
  • Month end process, including balance sheet reconciliations and board pack commentary explaining variances to budget
  • Presentation of monthly performance to the Stores leadership teams, demonstrating an understanding of variances against key KPIs
  • Preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecast, working closely with commercial team
  • Yearend reporting including preparation of audit schedules
  • Responsibility for managing the accounting for and cash collection of all UK concession accounts
  • Responsibility for reconciling Stores sales with the general ledger weekly
  • Monthly business partnering with the UK Stores teams
  • Business partnering with the Property team to ensure accurate reporting of our Property costs
  • Develop existing regular reporting, focusing on the accuracy, quality and timeliness of information, with the aim of leading to enhanced business decision making
  • Support the testing and implementation of new initiatives into financial reporting processes
  • Compiling and analysing data as required to support business decision making and assisting the UK Finance Manager with adhoc analysis

Skills / Requirements:


  • Part Qualified, Finalist or QBE Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with previous experience in Retail preferred but not essential
  • Quality Focus and attention to detail provide timely, relevant, and accurate insight within UK Retail for senior stakeholders
  • Can build strong relationships across the multiple teams (both Finance and nonFinance)
  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workloads
  • Can adapt and thrive in a changing and challenging environment
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Good team player
