    About the Role:

Portfolio Planning and Scheduling Leader - Warwick (hybrid working)


As our Portfolio Planning & Scheduling Leader, you will help design & implement the portfolio level Planning & Scheduling discipline in line with the Portfolio Controls framework, aligning with the NGET BMS for the SI portfolio to enable consistent, transparent and accurate planning information.

You will also support the delivery of the ASTI Portfolio to time, budget and scope in line with agreed governance and reporting structure.


What you'll be getting up to:

  • Support creating the SI portfolio milestone hierarchy, key portfolio milestones and milestone definitions, and own the performance management in line with SI portfolio reporting process and procedures.
  • Work with the Project Planners in a matrix organisation and be responsible for overseeing the schedule and planning activities from a portfolio level view, including continuous improvement of schedules and periodic updates.
  • Support the Strategic Workforce planning team to Facilitate and assure the allocation of resources across multiple largescale projects, balancing portfolio efficiency with project needs.
  • Engage with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of portfolio objectives and schedules.
  • Support Onshore & offshore PMO to provide guidance and direction to project planners to ensure quality and consistency and working with Portfolio Performance Reporting Manager to support planning reporting activities.
  • Conduct Level 2 assurance reviews in line with process definition documents in the BMS.
  • Provision of ongoing training for the portfolio team as needed to manage capability assessment and development of planning capability within the portfolio.

About You:


  • Experience in scheduling and planning for largescale infrastructure projects, with specific expertise in regulated industries and preferably renewable energy projects.
  • Knowledge of UK infrastructure project development stages, including consenting, design development and land.
  • Proven track record in managing complex schedules in a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in advanced project management software (e.g. Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Previous experience in managing schedules in a cloudbased planning tool with a multilocational planning team.
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills, and ability to work in complex matrix environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management and scheduling principles.
  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field desirable
