Job Objectives:

Main Duties:

Handson development of integration solutions, mainly within the Azure Integration stack
Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory etc
Provide assurance over partner delivery by steering new designs, carrying out code reviews and ensuring best practice and coding standards are followed
Recommend alternative approaches if specific difficulties are encountered which require a modification of the design or where an alternative approach may be more efficient
You lead the resolution of technical issues arising on the project promptly to keep the project on track
Be an advocate of quality through bestinclass development standards, lead by example
Ensure nonfunctional requirements (performance, monitoring/ alerting, security, and ongoing support) are considered during development; implement DevSecOps
Guarantee overall software quality and enforce engineering standards
Ensure there is a good balance between product innovation, technical debt reduction and delivery goals
Take ownership and responsibility for self tasks and work with minimum governance and steer; coordinate with team manager, project leads and managers on project related and other activities
Complete any adhoc duties as requested

Person Specifications:

Essential:

SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance
Extensive handson development experience (510 years)
Handson experience in the integration technologies like Azure Integration Services (preferred), BizTalk, IBM Integration Bus, Anypoint Platform (Mulesoft), TIBCO Cloud Integration etc with a good understanding of the other areas
Extensive handson experience in Cloud platform technologies, mainly Microsoft Azure with knowledge of core cloud computing concepts including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity and security and higher order capabilities including serverless
Ability to switch technologies easily, but strong experience in more than one listed above
Handson/ excellent understanding of Azure DevOps
Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Artefacts etc
Excellent understanding of various integration principles and considerations
Cloud-Native, Hybrid Deployable, Security Managed
Comfortable in various integration and design patterns with ability to choose the right option for right usecase: REST/ SOAP, Resource oriented/ Service oriented, JSON/ XML etc
Expertise in using various integration tools like Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman etc
Knowledge of multiple network protocols and capabilities (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, Routing, firewalls)
Strong experience of design, development and support of IT solutions
Experience of working with with Onshore/Offshore teams
Excellent written and verbal skills
Logical and critical thinking skills
Well organised, methodical and disciplined approach
Willingness to work outside standard working hours if project timelines require

Desirable:

Handson/ excellent understanding of Azure DevOps
Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Artefacts etc
Knowledge of messaging systems and architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pub/Sub)
Understanding of performance and scaling concepts (e.g., load balancing, CDNs, sharding, monitoring)

Salary:
£45,000.00-£58,858.59 per year
