Career Grade Planner (Spatial Planning and Transport)
Islington
Contract
£25.05 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Career Grade Planner (Spatial Planning and Transport)

To provide a specialist professional service in one or more of the core areas of work within the


Service including:

  • Economic development
  • Spatial planning
  • Development planning
  • Transport planning
  • Physical regeneration
  • Project management
  • Urban design

Responsibilities:


  • To be qualified or to be working towards a relevant qualification in one or more of the core
areas of work within the service.


  • Possess the necessary knowledge and experience to undertake the duties assigned to the
post.


  • To keep abreast of the relevant legislation, policy, decision making frameworks, and other
professional parameters relating to the assigned role within the Service.


  • Develop an awareness and understanding of other specialist disciplines within the Service
where necessary to undertake the role.


  • To produce high quality reports and written advice
Qualification in spatial planning, transport planning; urban design; property;
regeneration; economic development; or a related discipline to degree level or equivalent;
or

Proven track record of professional success and experience in one of the specialist areas of this service or in a related professional discipline.

Criteria description Assessed by
2 Demonstrated ability to work effectively in one or more of the following areas:
a. policy development and advice including the preparation of strategies and plans;
b. development planning;
c. development of funding bids and delivery
programmes;
d. funding and property negotiations, for example, s106 negotiations;
e. project management of improvements to the borough's public realm and
transport network;
f. scheme appraisal and monitoring; and g. economic development and/or town centre
management.
