Credit Control Executive

Reporting to:
Finance Manager


The role


You will speak to our customers on a daily basis, so you'll need to be an excellent communicator and go out of your way to understand customers' needs and agree payment deadlines.

There is regular contact with the wider teams within the business and buildinga deep understanding of our non-payment process across multiple business units.


We'll ask a lot of you, but we'll also invest in you through regular 'How's it Going' conversations, training, and wider support.

A typical week as a Credit Control Executive might involve: -

  • Following up on promised payments as needed
  • Putting accounts on hold as and when required
  • Taking payments by phone
  • Updating direct debit details
  • Investigating and taking ownership with customer queries that are preventing payment
  • Customer account reconciliations
  • Helping work towards the agreed team objectives (the mini OKR's) that contribute to the wider Rightmove mission
  • Providing the wider business with debtor updates
  • Working efficiently with the team to provide a seamless service to internal and external customers through a variety of communication channels and within our set standards
  • Owning your own development the leadership team are here to support you, but this is your journey, own it.

We're looking for someone who:
-


  • Has proven background in customer experience and conflict resolution
  • Is a methodical individual with high standards, so you take genuine pride in your work so it's right first time for our customers.
  • Has the ability to work with a higher workload at peak times of the month
  • Is a clear and strong communicator in both written and verbal form, who is confident in speaking to different people internally and within the customers' business to build a strong rapport and manage expectations
  • Is a keen problem solver with a desire to take ownership to resolve queries, being comfortable to go and find the answer from around Rightmove for the more bespoke queries you might encounter
  • Proven empathy skills
  • Flexible in being open to helping other members of the team or wider finance team
  • Has IT Skills in particular Excel and Word. Training will be given on our accounting systems

We would love someone to have any of the following: -

  • An interest in CICM and/or further qualifications to support their career
  • Knowledge or experience of Finance systems g. SAP Business One
