Statement of expectation for the role:
A permanent position of 35 Hrs per week is available.

  • Final arbiter for disputes between UK forces in relation to NFIB crime types, location and primacy issues.
  • Ensure the integrity of the data passed to the Home Office for NFIB recorded fraud: showing levels of fraud nationally, the demand on Police and the result of that demand.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the crime counts passed to the Home Office and the accuracy of any 'Outcome' data.
  • Complete monthly audits on Action Fraud recorded crime and incidents, Call centre and online reporting.
  • Complete other structured periodic audits to ensure the integrity of the data held by the NFIB.
  • Assist the NFIB with any outside inspections by other agencies for example HMICFRS.
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested appropriate to the position.

Description of Department:


The NCO Crime Registrar department is a highly visible part of the National Lead Force, City Of London Police which has a national remit.

The department is key in delivering part of the HMICFRS recommendations from "Time to Choose".


As Final Arbiters, the NCO Crime Registrar department applies NCRS to the NFIB pursue dissemination process across the 43 Forces of England and Wales giving advice and determining which force should be disseminated a crime.
