Full Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Unit

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an Autism Unit connected to a primary school in Enfield.

This is a full-time position starting in January on a 7 month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting children with Autism in their learning and development
Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities
Providing emotional support to students when needed
Working with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Liaising with parents and carers to provide updates on progress

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Experience working with children with Autism
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives
A patient and calm demeanour with the ability to work well in a team
The ability to adapt to a challenging environment and remain positive
