An exciting opportunity has arisen for one substantive full time housekeeper posts to be based on the Endoscopy Departments at the Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre.

You will be working alongside the clinical and nursing team as an integral member, with the priority of maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the units.

Endoscopy services operate across NUH, at City Hospital Campus, Queens Medical Centre Campus and Nottingham Treatment Centre. It maybe required that you work across the three sites to assist with stock control and auditing.

This is a full time post working five days a week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00. However changes to working hours would be considered ensuring core hours are covered.

  • Previous experience in Housekeepers/cleaning/stock management or within healthcare environment

  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Flexible in hours of work to meet the needs of the service.
  • Must be able to wear the full range of appropriate PPE throughout the working day
Physical skills

Essential criteria

  • Ability to manoeuvre/manipulate equipment to enable effective cleaning
  • Capable of using equipment within a work environment under supervision
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of moving and handling loads
  • Evidence of moving and handling training
Planning and organisation skills

Essential criteria

  • Able to organise & prioritise own workload following a period of induction
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of coordinating the ordering of supplies
Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • GCSE English and maths grades A
  • C or equivalent
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
Desirable criteria

  • NVQ 2 level in healthcare
  • Evidence of personal development in previous employment

  • Ability to pass on information accurately to a multi professional team
  • Understand the importance of instructions and written procedures
