URP are part of SIG Plc., a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products.

We are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative who will be able to manufacture various products efficiently and in a timely manner.


What does the role involve?:


  • As a Production Operative you will be required to operate machinery such as glue guns, guillotines and panel saws. Working as part of a wider team, you will fabricate various products, label goods for despatch and complete relevant paperwork which are allto be carried out to the highest standard.
  • A good awareness of health and safety, safe working practices and a strong work ethic
  • To be educated to a level of basic Mathematics and be fluent in both verbal and written English
  • Physical fitness, as some manual warehouse work will be required
  • Selfmotivation and selfdiscipline able to work to deadlines efficiently without constant supervision
  • Experience in using your own initiative and being part of a team whilst working in a factory environment
  • Flexibility to work on rational shift patterns
  • FLT licence ideal, but not essential (training can be given)
