Description

As the Co-Ordinator you will Support the delivery of a safe, legally compliant, value for money Waste and Recycling service, to include monitoring of contracts, development of communication plans and overseeing the work of internal and external stakeholders.

This is for interim role, initially 3 months.

Job requirements

Monitor the delivery of Waste and Recycling contracts for collection, reprocessing and disposal of household waste, ensuring legislative and contractual compliance, and monitoring of health and safety in accordance with contractor and industry standards.
Raise often complex matters of noncompliance with contractors and agreeing and overseeing appropriate and often unique rectification measures through contractor liaison, enforcing service penalties as necessary.
Design, manage and evaluate communication initiatives and develop and deliver presentations to a range of audiences to include Elected Members, officers, schools, parish councils and community groups.
Support the delivery of aims and objectives set out in the Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy, including participation in associated crosscounty working groups.
Deputise for the Waste and Recycling Team Manager where necessary, for example at the Waste Officers Group.
Oversee the delivery of front office service functions by Customer Services, resolving any issues arising through liaison with the Customer Services Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager and managing service changes accordingly.
Manage the integration of a range of ICT systems (e.g. Verint CRM and Springboard) to continually drive service efficiencies.
Supporting waste and recycling service changes mandated by law and the management
