Salary:
£63,000 - £94,400 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.


Working Pattern:
Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available


Distribution has an ambitious and balanced plan to power communities to net zero, and to support the delivery of this we are looking to recruit an equally ambitious Programme Delivery Lead to optimise, deliver and embed the full scope of our transformation portfolio.

The role will work with the relevant business and project teams to ensure integrated and successful delivery of business change activities across disciplines.


About the role:


The main purpose of the role is to lead and manage the delivery of strategic business transformational change and improvement programmes, and other strategic initiatives mapped to business objectives that improve organisational performance, ensuring that these are delivered on time, to quality and budget across Distribution.


The Programme Delivery Lead will be responsible for realising the objectives, key results and other value targets defined as part of the Programme and must have the ability to manage dependencies of varying complexities.


Using the best practice methodologies for their programme and ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.


Key to the role is to manage the operational aspects of the delivery teams involved, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met.


You will lead collaborative working across all disciplines involved, provide effective communications to complex stakeholder groups, to remove blockers, proactively manage risk and balance objectives as priorities change.


You will provide thought leadership and challenge in current operating methodologies to ensure we have a holistic focused programme view to build a coherent and integrated view of activities, interdependencies, and challenges.


What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to work across teams and engage with the right stakeholders to gain the level of input and expertise required to progress our change goals with the resilience and determination needed to deliver, and have:

  • Programme management with good knowledge of programme methods (e.g. MSP) and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes in an operational/infrastructure/energy type environment.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Sound ability to problem solve and preempt problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
