ABOUT THE COMPANY

As one of the four Agri-Tech Innovation Centres established as part of the UK Agri-Tech Strategy, Agri-EPI Centre is responding by driving the growth of agricultural technology.

Supported by Innovate UK, we are committed to the delivery of research, development, demonstration and training in precision agriculture and engineering for the livestock, arable, horticulture and aquaculture sectors.


We are a member-based organisation and currently work with more than 250 members to deliver Research and Development projects in agriculture.


Agri-EPI Centre has four hubs in the UK, each of which is developing its own distinct Agri-Tech focus, based in Edinburgh, Newport in Shropshire, Shepton Mallet in Somerset, and Cranfield in Bedfordshire.


THIS ROLE

The Midlands Hub of the Agri-EPI Centre, based on the Harper Adams University Campus is a thriving and vibrant ecosystem of Agri-tech businesses and Innovators.

We need a front of house administrator and receptionist to welcome guests to the centre, be a point of contact for both tenants and visitors, and to support the wider business development function in an administrative capacity.


WHO WE NEED
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a similar front of house/reception and administrative role.

This is a varied and fast paced role so we require someone who can show initiative and has good attention to detail.

Excellent organisation and IT skills are also required.

You will be joining an established team so we are looking for someone who thrives on teamwork and collaboration and has a willingness to learn and support others.

An understanding of the agri-tech / agri-food sector would be helpful but is not essential.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front of house and first point of contact for all visitors to the Agri-EPI Centre Midlands Hub
  • Key administrative support for the teams within the Business Development Function
  • To keep all folders and systems used by the Business Development team up to date and efficiently looked after.
  • Keep calendars up to date for all bookable space within the hub.
  • Respond to general enquiries which come into the Midlands hub / Business Development team in a timely manner.
  • Any other relevant tasks which will support the efficient running of the Midlands Hub

This is a varied and dynamic role where no two days will be the same, you will be required to attend our state-of-the-art premises to perform your duties.

We have developed a strong team culture within the Business Development/Marketing function, and we operate as one - supporting each other with new ideas, and delivery of new concepts.

  • Our main hub offices in the UK are the Northern Hub based in Easter Bush, Roslin, the Midlands Hub based in Newport Shropshire and the Southern Hub based in Cranfield. And a stateoftheart Dairy Development Centre in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Hot desking facilities are available at all of the sites allowing staff members to work effectively wherever they are.
  • You will have 35 days' holiday a year, which includes bank holidays.
  • Regular companywide socials and smaller team lunches, dinners, breakfasts and other social gettogethers attendance is 100% optional if it's not your thing, there's no pressure.

Job Types:

£23,000.00 per year
