To provide support to the multi professional team by undertaking appropriate duties following assessment and planning of requirements by a registered nurse.

Additionally to provide support by undertaking non nursing and ancillary duties.

  • Maintains effective communication with patients, carers, relatives and staff.
  • Participate in programmes of inservice training as required.
  • Supporting of patients as they move from one setting to another.
  • Chaperoning of patients as required.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with patients, carers and staff alike.
  • Maintain a standard of conduct and dress to sustain public confidence and promote the profile of health care employees.
