About Us
Countrywide Grounds Maintenance is a national company. We are currently looking for hard working, punctual and reliable operatives to join our South-Central division.

We care for all aspects of tree works and grounds maintenance provided to a wide array of different clients in a multitude of different industries.

As an Arborist (main role) / Grounds Maintenance Operative you would be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tree work and manual grounds maintenance duties under the guidance and direct supervision of your team leader.

Whilst you will generally be working with others; you will at times need to work under your own initiative without close supervision.

The work is physically demanding and you would be working outside in all weathers.

You will work alongside the Lead Arborist and Arboricultural Director who has 8 years of experience and is also a Qualified Tree Surveyor.

Key Tasks
Promoting the company's professional image on site and working in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy. The key tasks of the position can be broadly summarised as

All matters of tree work reductions, take downs, rigging, site tidies, canopy cleans and many more.
Grass cutting/strimming, using pedestrian mowers and ride on mowers.
Hedge cutting and hedge reductions.
Maintaining planted/hard areas weed free through hand weeding and the use of herbicides under the direct supervision of a qualified member of staff.
Pruning and vegetation clearance works sometimes involving the use of our chipper.
Gritting sites across the south in winter months (comes with additional pay).
Overtime is offered after hours and on weekends.

Qualifications Required
To work within tree division the following qualifications are advisable.

CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, CS41 (advisable).
Safe use of Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP).
Safe use of woodchipper.
Safe use of stump grinder.
Experience with towing trailers and or chippers.

To work within our grounds maintenance sector the following qualifications are advisable:

NVQ in horticulture or similar
or career experience, dependant on what we see is an adequate amount of time in the industry.
PA1 & PA6 Pesticides Certificate.
Full driving license.

Other information will be provided through interview process.

Salary:
£23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
