Description
We are currently looking for dedicated Children's Senior Support Workers for a Children's Residential Home based in Littlehampton.

The Home provides vulnerable and traumatised children with a safe, nurturing environment for them to experience genuine therapeutic care.


This a unique opportunity for someone to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.


This is a permanent, Full Time Position.

The Service does not offer sponsorship.

Salary:


£29,000 - £31,500

Schedule:


  • This Role will include Sleep in shifts.
  • Full Time 40 Hours per week, 8 hour shifts. This will include weekend working.
  • Annual Holiday Entitlement.

Requirements:

Full Driving License is essential
:


  • NVQ Level 3 Children's and Young People Services.
  • At least one year of experience working in a Children's Residential Home.

Duties:


  • Provide with children with a safe, therapeutic environment to help the child progress.
  • Manage the home effectively in the absence of the home or deputy manager.
  • Efficiently manage the home's finances.
  • Manage health and safety procedures and risk assessments in the home.
  • Commit to the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
  • Help with the children's personal development and act as both an adult role model and mentor.
  • To ensure the children maintain a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
  • Be aware of the children's rights, allowing them to share their voice.
  • Tend to the children's individual needs
  • To quickly respond to any emergencies in the home, should they arise.
  • Engage, communicate, talk and listen to the children and young people.
  • To liaise with and be a point of contact with external organisations, (schools etc) where appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation and scheduling of meetings where required, taking part and contributing to them also.
  • To work alongside psychologists to enable effective integration of care and therapy.
  • To lead the team in the absence of a deputy manager
  • Support the induction process of new colleagues
  • Share in the practical activities necessary to maintain the home to the highest standard.
  • Deliver the highest standard of home making.
  • To take ownership of the home and pride in its upkeep.
  • To adhere to the therapeutic model of practice and care procedures
  • To be able to take responsibility for own your own personal development.

Salary:

£29,000.00-£31,150.00 per year
