Description

We are looking for someone to join the South Tyneside Fostering Service as a Placements Officer. This is a temporary position, ongoing for as long as additional support is required by the team.

This role requires you to have a minimum of a level 3 in children or a level 4 in administration and would be ideally suited for those who have either worked in an administrative capacity in children's services previously, or have directly worked with children and young people within the looked after children services and also have good IT and administrative skills.

For this role you should have the following:

Experience of working in a child care focused environment and dealing with child protection and complex information
Experience of working with multi agency professionals
Experience of direct contact with service users and professionals regarding child protection, complex and sensitive information
Good understanding of the needs of looked after children
Good problem solving skills
Excellent organisational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of confidentiality issues

Job Types:

£15.26 per hour
