What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Customer Care Team as a Maintenance Operative.

This is a
12 months fixed term contract with the possibility of going permanent and to be based at our site in
CV37.


The purpose of the role is to provide a variety of high-quality remedial and maintenance works for customers in their new homes, providing maintaining high standards of customer experience.


We are looking for people with experience in;

  • Painting & Decorating
  • Joinery works
  • Mastic works
  • Small Plastering works

The role will include:


  • Manage and prioritise workloads in order to complete highquality remedial works in a timely manner
  • Provide quality remedial works, ensuring compliance under the Persimmon Pledge and Customer Care Policies and Procedures
  • Minimise costs associated with remedial works and adhere to the signoff and cost recording policies, identify all contracharging opportunities
  • Complete all required online reporting via the Operative App, facilitating accurate record keeping of defect resolution and root cause analysis
  • Liaise with and monitor subcontractors where appropriate, to complete inspections of reported defects, providing full details of agreed works to both the customer and the Customer Care Coordinators
  • Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Group's HS&E Policy and ensure compliance throughout team

What we need from you?

  • Ability to be competent in all aspects of homeowner maintenance, including maintenance of machines and tools
  • Painting, Joinery, mastic, Carpets, plastering is required.
  • Windows & External Door experience would be advantageous
  • PASMA certificate would be advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office
  • Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
  • First Aid qualification would be advantageous
