Description

We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join the Business Partnering team based in County Hall (currently mixed with working from home).

Previous experience in a finance role is required and familiarity with SAP is an advantage. The work involves the provision of specialist financial support to Business Partners and Finance Officers within the team.

You will need to be organised, willing to learn and be attentive to detail.

The role provides an ideal opportunity for someone looking to increase their knowledge of accounting and analysis techniques and gain more experience using the Authority's financial systems.

The team provides support to the Children's Services department and works alongside the traded School Finance Service with Local Authority schools.

The team supports a variety of different services with the department and is also responsible for the calculation and distribution of funding to maintained Derbyshire schools and Early Years providers.

The team works hard and has developed strong relationships with key budget holders to provide quality information to aid decision making.
