Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is delighted to be able to advertise for a KeyTeam Assistant/Read Coder within our Primary Care Practice, Healthy Prestatyn / Rhuddlan Iach.

You'll be based in our newly opened Health Centre within the centre of Prestatyn.

The practice offers primary care services to a practice population of approximately 22,000 patients. You will be an integral member of the practice team, working alongside our multi-disciplinary team of Health Care professionals.

You will be expected to provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative service for the service including read coding of clinical information, scanning and filing documents, arranging appointments, auditing and maintaining patient records in accordance with Health Board policies.


You will be working in a challenging environment that undergoes constant changes and you will need to exercise judgement and use a combination of skills to deal with day-to-day issues.


You will be expected to demonstrate a sensitive and caring attitude that is client-focused and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure.


To be responsible for undertaking read coding of clinical information for correspondence received from other professionals and new patients ensuring all information is coded correctly.

To act as a point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the Key Teams, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff with the practice.

To undertake tasks given by the Key Team Coordinator to ensure patient care is met.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
