A Supply Planning Manager is needed to join a business in Nottingham. This hybrid role offers a salary in the of £45-£50K+ benefits

The Supply Planning Manager is a leadership team member and is responsible for driving company performance of stock and inventory availability and cost reductions


Working with procurement you will manage an annual stock value of £50m+, by providing short, medium and long-term supply forecasts within a fast-moving, time-critical, cost-sensitive business.


What you will do:


  • Design, lead and implement the supply planning strategy, considering customer trends and stock levels to identify costeffective purchase plans
  • Maximise warehouse capacity and stockholding, optimise product availability and stock turnover
  • Challenge demand plans to drive greater forecasting accuracy, and ensure the portfolio is continuously rationalised
  • Lead a small team of supply chain professionals
  • Drive KPIs to improve the performance of the supply chain department
  • Influence Procurement on lead times, and order quantities to improve supply planning accuracy
  • Collaborating with Demand Planning, Product and other teams where required to optimize the product portfolio
  • Working with all stakeholders to grow suppliers' and customers SLA's, KPIs and OTIF performance
  • Develop stock management and S&OP reporting

Who we are looking for:


  • A commercially minded Supply Planning professional with a proven track record of team management
  • Detailed knowledge of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting and S&OP
  • Able to demonstrate your success in reducing costs and improving supply performance
  • Expert user of Excel and various IT and ERP systems
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to identify and implement process improvements
  • A strong communicator, able to present to departmental heads including the board of directors
  • Eligible to work and remain in the UK on an indefinite basis
  • Willing to work onsite, typically 3 days per week

Salary in the region of £45-£50k + benefits

Hybrid working, typically 3days per week onsite, 2 days remote.
