Job IntroductionLandmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
We are looking for someone who either has previous experience or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.
Opening Range Control
Monitoring CCTV / radar
Communicating via telephone and radio with troops, range staff and members of the public
Dealing with the military and also members of the public
Issuing keys and instructions
Recording any incidents
Dealing with local authorities ie coastguard, harbour masters
Essential
Willing to attend radar operator and VHF radio training course
Work a shift pattern to cover night firing / weekend firing (6 weekends a year)
Able to use IT administrative tools to complete Range Reports
Good observation skills for using radars and CCTV
Confident speaking over the telephone and via radio
Desirable
Able to read maps and use grid references
