Tradewind are currently recruiting for a passionate Art Teacher to join our client school in Wigan, starting after the February half-term until Easter in the first instance.

Our client school is an 11-16 school, Ofsted rated 'Good', and is committed to providingthe best possible education to its students.

The successful Art Teacher will be joining a school whose mission statement is to provide a broad education and commit to a well-defined set of values that ensures students are happy and have the chance to become the best version of themselves that is possible.

Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering highquality lessons in Art, which inspire and engage students
Assessing and evaluating students' progress and providing constructive feedback
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the development of students' creativity and artistic skills
Working collaboratively with other members of the department to plan and develop schemes of work
Contributing to extracurricular activities related to Art
Marking and grading students' work in line with school policies and procedures
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance

Legal requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A valid DBS check on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
Evidence of right to work in the UK
Be able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references
