This is an exciting new role within our Trust, following new growth developments. The post holder will be predominantly based in the central team at Trust Head Offices.

Travel to and from the academies within the Trust is an essential part of this role, though mileage costs will be covered.

There will be three Regional Finance Leads each covering distinct areas.

Our Opportunity


The Regional Finance Leads will play a key strategic role within the Trust, with financial oversight of all schools within their assigned region (Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield/Nottinghamshire).

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the post holder is responsible for robust, accurate and timely budget setting and monitoring reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and Trust policy and procedure.

Working closely with Headteachers and other senior Trust staff, the post holder will also provide scenario and benchmarking analysis to support decision making.

As the key Trust finance contact for assigned Local Authority partner(s), the post holder will work proactively and independently to ensure an accurate, in-depth understanding of Local Authority High Needs funding methodology and the impact of DfE statutory guidance, driving improvements in information sharing and income reconciliations.
