About the role


Due to the expansion of Onward Repairs into the Greater Manchester area we are increasing the size of our in-house direct labour team (DLO) who carry out repairs to our occupied and void properties across the Greater Manchester region.


To support this expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Performance & Support Services Team Leader who will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and business support functions to ensure a safe, reliable, quality, efficient responsive repairs and void maintenance service is delivered across our portfolio.

This role is
office-based role at 1a Enterprise Way, Accrington, BB5 0FR.


Key responsibilities

Delivery

  • Lead the administrative functions, whilst supporting the supply chain services, to deliver the work required to meet the needs of the business. Support the delivery of improvements identified by senior managers in the quality of services and the efficiency of the services provided.

Systems

  • Responsible for implementing appropriate systems and controls that support the delivery of projects, continuous improvement and that risks are monitored and managed effectively.

Planning

  • Responsible for all aspects of Support Services including all trades job sheet sign off and completions of Sub
  • Contractor invoices.
  • Assist with the effective management of vehicle fleet and lead the teams to identify where improvements can be gained.

Budgets

  • Assist with the key operational and financial targets related to the running of the business area.

Team

  • Directly manage work planners, to ensure the effective use of all resources including supply chain. Lead the team and identify where improvements can be gained. Provide support to all direct reports on evolving issues within DaytoDay repairs, Voids and Gas contracts.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure operative loan worker devices are monitored on a daily basis.

Customer Service

  • Ensuring customers are provided with a reliable service and treated with respect
    .

Line Management & Leadership

  • Provide line management and leadership to the support team and manage resources to ensure that objectives are achieved.

What are we looking for?

Essential:


  • Proven ability to supervise and manage colleagues to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
  • Experience of Supervising/ Leading a team in a similar construction, tradebased maintenance business.
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to effectively manage productivity, and resource/workplanning.
  • Ability to manage an effective supply chain.
  • Detailed knowledge of Fleet management.

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of work planning and repairs IT systems.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to ONC, OND or equivalent qualification/ experience in similar role. Desirable
  • Relevant qualification / experience of business planning and admin.
