We have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Development and Recruitment team as a Recruitment Co-ordinator for our Higher and Degree apprenticeship provision, you will be based at our Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre working within our Apprenticeship Training Centre which is a real world manufacturing environment.


The Recruitment Co-ordinator will provide an end to end recruitment service for employers wishing to recruit new or upskill existing employees with higher level apprenticeships.

This will ensure the centre can respond to the changing demands and areas of opportunity within the apprenticeship market.


You will provide information, advice and guidance (IAG) and co-ordinate all recruitment activities and processes for higher and degree apprenticeship programmes, from receiving employer requirements, determining whether applicants have met the entry requirements, booking applicants on to assessments, scheduling and conducting interviews and liaising with applicants and potential employers.

In addition you will be required to develop relationships with sixth form schools and colleges across Sheffield city region with a particular focus on science, maths and engineering students


You will be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate information (written and verbal) of some complexity and report on information with clarity and accuracy.

This is a very busy working environment where a flexible approach to work, hours and the ability to multi-task are key to success.

You will have;

  • Proven track record of coordinating apprenticeship recruitment.
  • Good IT skills, also include maintaining the information on specialist databases and computerised information management systems
  • Up to date knowledge on apprenticeships, the relevant regulatory bodies and funding rules in order to provide detailed information and guidance to stakeholders
