Introduction:


Our client is a multinational information technology services and consulting company They are looking for a Database Administrator to work across multiple teams to implement standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.**Due to the nature of this role, you must hold the highest level of DV clearance and a full British passport.

This a hybrid role that will require you on site in Gloucestershire 2-3 days a week.


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
  • Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
  • Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
  • Assist in building compliance
  • Identify risk and escalate to the correct department
  • Work to ITIL best practices

Skills & experience:


  • Excellent risk identification skills
  • Exposure to automation software (Ansible and Puppet)
  • Experience or knowledge of various Red Hat related products (Satellite 6, OpenShift 3/4, RHEL/CentOS 6/7/8, and RHEL Atomic/CoreOS)
  • Knowledge of scripting with Bash, Python, and/or Git
  • Experience of AWS
