These are exciting time on the Isle of Wight within Adult Social Care, the whole service having supported a redesign that enhances strength-based practice, working with the community and our third sector partners.


We are seeking to social work assistant in the IASCC (Initial Adult Social Care Contact) Team, who will be an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate individual to join the team.


You will have good communication and relationship building skills and fully recognise the importance of ensuring that the voice of those we are supporting is heard.

You will share our ambitions, passion and attitude to ensure the people we serve live the best lives possible.

The post holder will undertake timely strengths based, telephone initial contact assessments. You will risk assess the individual's urgency of need. You will undertake welfare visits to people in their homes. You will undertake care act assessments and care planning in a variety of settings. You will implement and promote departmental safeguarding procedures and adhere to departmental recording policy.
