Apprentice Medical Reception Administrative Assistant

To work within a local medical centre based in St Helens

Apprenticeship Qualification - Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing with patient enquiries both by phone and face to face
  • Booking appointments and updating and maintaining patient records
  • Inputting patient information and maintaining records on company intranet IT database
  • General filing into medical records
  • Liaising with various external health related agencies

Skills and Qualities

  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality at all times
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel
  • This is a customer facing role and the company operate a strict dress code and therefore a professional appearance is required
Good level of numeracy and literacy is desired


This is initially a 15-month contract but you will be given the opportunity to access future prospects within the NHS and Federation of Surgeries
