Salary:_Competitive, Training and Career Progression_**We have a new opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join our HR Teams at our Lees of Scotland site in Coatbridge.


Lees of Scotland has been manufacturing confectionery and meringues since 1931 and provides teacakes, snowballs and meringues to the majority of the UK retailers.

Recently acquired by the Finsbury Food Group the focus is on growth and in order to support this we have a brand new opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor.


The Senior HR Advisor is a key member of the Site HR Team & broader Finsbury Food Group HR Team.

They will support the delivery of the site people plan and the day to day running of the HR team.

This is a true generalist HR role, where the Senior HR Advisor will business partner with key stakeholders across the site and have the opportunity to lead on people focused projects across the larger Finsbury Group, helping to define the people agenda.

They will report into the HR Manager who will be mainly remote from site and also deputise for the HR Manager where required.

The role will support the site with the option for home working during the week as well.

However when you're on site, there will be lots of opportunity to work collaboritively and sample a selection of what we make across the factory.


We are going through a period of growth and development at Finsbury Food Group and this role will be pivotal in guiding and leading on various people projects for the site and larger Finsbury Food Group.


This is what you'll actually do


As the Senior HR Advisor, you will lead the HR Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring a strong partnership with the organisation and team.

You'll partner with key stakeholders & deliver generalist HR support to enable the delivery of the site & company growth agenda.

You will also support the implementation of the site employee engagement strategy and plan.

Coaching and mentoring the HR team at both our Lees of Scotland site and across the wider Scottish team to deliver the ER strategy and to build effective relationships with employee and union representatives.

Along with supporting the site performance management & appraisal processes. Also implementing an effective reward & recognition mechanisms.


As the Senior HR Advisor, you will be the lead point of contact for the HR team in relation to ER matters.

Coaching and mentoring HR team and managers to follow process and therefore reducing litigious risk to the business. Ensuring the site has the leadership capability to deliver the site strategy. Also you'll support the delivery of the site talent management process. Identify development needs and deliver the site Training Plan alongside the Learning and Development Team.

You will deliver the site resourcing strategy, support the talent planning process and partner managers in the recruitment and on-boarding process.


Ideally this is you

  • Previous experience in a similar Generalist HR Advisor role within FMCG, Manufacturing or fast moving environment
  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Excellent Business Partnering skills
  • Collaborative & pragmatic style, credible with senior stakeholders, proactive/selfstarter
  • Ideally experience of Psychometric testing (training will be given on this)
  • Excellent written, verbal, & presentation skills
  • Able to adapt and reprioritise in a fast moving environment
  • Ideally change management experience, change orientated, challenges the status quo Personal Attributes
  • Able to engage & influence key stakeholders.
  • Resilient, team player
  • Overall a passion for HR and People
