Principal People are exclusively supporting a National Manufacturing organisation to recruit for a Head of Health and Safety.

The role is a National role covering sites around the Country with a great deal of flexibility and autonomy.

You will operate a full hybrid policy involving site visits and working from home to aid a positive work life balance.


You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have full autonomy over the Health and Safety Strategy that will be implemented throughout the business.


You will have the opportunity to develop and grow a team of Health and Safety Professionals, all of which have very progressive mindset towards Health and Safety.

The business are incredibly supportive towards Health and Safety and have invested heavily into new technology and processes to increase the safety standards.

Head of Health and Safety - £65k to £75k + Car Allowance - Manufacturing - National (Hybrid)


The key duties include:


  • Offering appropriate advice and support to the site teams within Health and Safety matters
  • Creating and Implementing practical and effective methods to promote awareness to Health and Safety, Sustainability and Environmental matters
  • To develop and lead a team of 2 x Health and Safety Advisors who have both been with the business for a few years.
  • Creating positive relationships with the sites to help improve the HSE Culture across the business
  • Working closely with underperforming sites and forming strategies to help them improve
  • You will be working in a fastpaced environment, where every day is different and you will be exposed to different risks

We would love to see CV's from people who have:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma preferred)
  • Experience within an operational Health and Safety Experience
  • Experience managing a team within Health and Safety
  • Full UK Driving License
